Each year, centres from around the world gather at a conference known as The International Holistic Centres Gathering. In 2013, Esalen hosted the Gathering and pioneered this successful follow-on workshop. The Haven hosted the Gathering the following year, and this workshop ran for the second time. The workshop will run again in 2016 when Le Monastere des Augustines, in Quebec, Canada will host the Gathering.
If you are dreaming of starting a holistic center or are simply curious about how centers do what they do, consider joining this program for a weekend of rich experience and discussion. This isn’t a step-by-step process on how to start a retreat center, however there will be representatives from various established retreat centers available to explain the beginnings of their organizations and how they conduct business. Representatives from the host center and other retreat centers facilitate the program and together they represent over 100 years of experience in running centres.
