We are delighted to announce the next Holistic Centers Gathering will be hosted by Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in their beautiful 250-acre campus in Rhinebeck, New York, 6 – 11 May 2018.
Connect with your peers
This is a unique opportunity to connect with your peers from other centers and share wisdom and experience in an open and creative way.
We invite you to join us for this valuable experience of learning and support, the practical exchange of ideas, insights and information, and bonding through shared values and intentions.
To preserve the quality and depth of our dialogue this is more of an intimate gathering than large scale conference. We offer places for a maximum of two people from each organization and have a bursary fund to encourage diversity.
Founded in 1977 by Stephan Rechtschaffen, MD, and Elizabeth Lesser, Omega Institute for Holistic Studies was inspired by scholar and Eastern meditation teacher, Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan.
Together, they envisioned a dynamic “university of life” designed to foster personal growth and social change.
The name “Omega” came from the teachings of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a renowned 20th-century philosopher, who used the term “Omega Point” to describe the peak of unity and integration toward which all life is evolving.
For forty years Omega’s mission has been: Through innovative educational experiences that awaken the best in the human spirit, Omega provides hope and healing for individuals and society.
