Each year the host center responds to requests from people from all over the world to join the Gathering. Some participants are financially supported by their own Center, others fund their own expenses, and others who would love to come are unable to raise the funds themselves.
The generosity of the host Center can only extend so far and for many years it has been a dream of the Gathering to create a bursary fund so that more people can participate each year from diverse backgrounds.
Your support could help community leaders in developing nations, who are keen to bring their unique experience to the Gathering and learn new ideas, models and initiatives they can take back home.
We are also keen to support co-workers who receive only a small monthly allowance in return for their service and need to fund their travel and participation costs when it’s not possible for this to be covered by the centre they represent.
By contributing to our Bursary Fund you will enable more people from diverse backgrounds to participate in the annual Gathering, as well as future workshops and events, who would otherwise be unable to join this experience of mutual learning and support amongst peers.
The following people have benefited from the bursary fund to date:

Participants were encouraged to bring the individual aspects of their own center or organisation to establish collective understanding within the group, and this felt very strengthening. Coming together like this is a great opportunity to consolidate the network.
The session on sharing the vision and purpose of each centre helped me to link what I’m doing in my daily work with our long term vision, which I feel will help the direction of the collective by addressing the commonalities between us all.
I believe there is great potential in future Gatherings to strengthen the connection between North-South Communities and feel very empowered by my experience of the Gathering. Thank you!
