The Findhorn Foundation is a spiritual community, ecovillage and an international centre for holistic learning, helping to unfold a new human consciousness and create a positive and sustainable future.
The three founding principles have remained at the centre of all our activities over the years:
- deep inner listening, and acting from that source of wisdom
- co-creation with the intelligence of nature
- inspired action and service to the world
How we express these principles through our activities, continues to change and grow, reflecting both the evolution of the consciousness of the community and the needs of the world around us, locally and globally.
Based mainly at The Park, Findhorn and at Cluny Hill in the nearby town of Forres, the Findhorn Foundation and Community extends also to individuals, businesses and organisations within a 50-mile radius of The Park and to the islands of Iona and Erraid on the west coast of Scotland.
The Findhorn Foundation has developed a series of its own workshops and programmes based on more than 50 years of experience as a centre for holistic learning.
The best way to visit the community for the first time is to come for Experience Week. These seven days provide the ideal way to meet, engage with and share in an ever-evolving journey of deeply sustainable community living. As part of a group, you will be introduced to the spiritual principles and activities on which this dynamic community is based.
Knowing that global change begins within each one of us, each step in the Essential Findhorn programmes encourages deep self-discovery in a community where everyone, from the cook to the accountant, is part of a lively and supportive learning environment.
Each step is a valuable life experience whether you intend to join in just one workshop or hope to be in the community for a longer period of time.
