A Special Announcement from Rachel Davey
In the next few months I will be stepping down as Executive Director of The Haven.
Being ED of The Haven has been one of the richest experiences of my life. I am deeply grateful for all that I have learned during my ten years at The Haven, and look forward with excitement both to my future and The Haven’s.
I’m doing this because I want to make some changes in my life with my family and my career. I have discussed this with the Board and we have a plan for a transition that will happen over the next few months. I am hoping that I will be able to stay in my current position until a suitable replacement is found.
The Board will be leading the recruitment process, which will begin in mid-February. The board and I are committed to a smooth transition and finding the best person to be my successor.
I am happy to answer questions and can be contacted by email firstname.lastname@example.org

A personal message from the Haven Board
Mary and Gary Holdgrafer, Haven Foundation Board Co-Chairs
On behalf of the Board, we are grateful for all that Rachel has done for The Haven and share the sense of loss at this news.
Although it is a time of uncertainty, we want to reassure the wider Haven community that we have a comprehensive plan to search for a new ED. The Haven Foundation Board has already struck a Search Committee comprised of three Board members (Dea Lloyd joins us on the committee) together with two representatives from Haven faculty and staff, Elfi Dillon Shaw and Morag Ruckman.
The Search Committee is currently developing the details of the recruitment plan. We will be asking people like you who care about The Haven to use your personal networks to spread the word about the position. We plan to include a broad spectrum of people in the interview process. Recruitment opens in February and information will be shared in a special eNews and on the Haven web site. We are committed to keeping the wider Haven community updated as we go through this process.
Thank you for your continued support.
