Hello everybody,
The time has arrived to register for the 1993 International Center’s Gathering which will be held in Moscow, Russia. As most of you know, it will be the fourth time that center’s from North America, Western and Eastern Europe have come together for a time of deepening connections, learning from each other, spiritual communion and, of course, fun. Those of us who have made this gathering a regular part of our schedule look forward to it as one of the high points of the year.
The gathering last year at the Coloman Center in Bavaria was smaller than it’s two predecessors in the South of France and Budapest. Nobody seems to know why but those of us who were there had a great time and feel fully committed to continuing. It’s smaller scale in fact provided more time for real contact and created a charming balance of East and West. Moreover, we had three days together instead of two and this certainly seems worth repeating in Moscow.
These are the facts: The gathering will be hosted by the Inward Path Center in Moscow and will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the 14th, 15th and 16th May 1993 at a residential location just outside the city. Participants should arrive on the afternoon or evening of Thursday, May 13th. The gathering will include a trip to the Kremlin and Red Square. For those people who want to stay on in Russia for a few days the option exists to stay in the country until the following Friday. There will be a day trip to the monastery of Zagorsk outside Moscow plus two days in St.Petersburg (formerly Leningrad) staying withRussian families and a day in the ancient city of Novgorod.
Sounds interesting? Ralph did this very journey last year and loved it. It comes with his highest recommendations. And while the economic situation in Russia is very difficult and volatile, it does not yet appear catastrophic. In fact, the first things that impress a new visitor is how normal it all seems. But clearly this gathering will have an element of adventure about it and we will have to expect the unexpected.
Those of us who have attended a couple of these gatherings know how much they mean and how rich the experience is. With the addition of Russia and Eastern Europe to our circle, we really see the emergence of the planetary culture to which we are all committed. It continues to be amazing that people from such diverse countries can come together and connect so deeply so quickly.
We hope we’ll see you in Moscow…
